After the new XPS 13, Dell continues to renew its line of notebooks for expert users. Based on the same chassis as the 13-inch version, the Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 arrive with a configuration that sometimes has nothing to envy to the Alienware range.
They will arrive before the start of summer in France. Dell wanted to take care of the rest of its range, which clearly intends to work on the platforms of the MacBook Pro 16. Let’s know more about them！
In 2020, Dell decided to revise the design of the XPS 13 with a new borderless 16:10 screen, and we were particularly impressed during our laptop test. Building on this success, the manufacturer’s engineering teams have decided to standardize the XPS range and bring the same innovations to the Dell XPS 15.
But the brand team does not stop there and adds something new to the family, the Dell XPS 17comes. She continues to renew her XPS range with her two big brothers, the Dell XPS 15 and the XPS 17, two new Windows 10 laptops that will arrive in France on May 14 for the 15-inch model and June 11 for the 17-inch model.
Improvements of Dell XPS 17& XPS 15
The main improvement here, the two new models benefit from the same chassis as the XPS 13, thin border around the screen.
Despite the near-borderless screen, Dell still integrated a new Windows Hello-compatible 720p HD camera with an additional infrared camera.
Dell boasts of offering the XPS 17 a 17-inch to reaffirm how far Dell has optimized screen technologies. Like the XPS 13, the XPS 15 and the XPS 17 will offer Full HD + or Ultra HD + panels.
By raising the prices, we will then have the right 4K UHD screen (3840 x 2400 pixels) with 100% Adobe RGB and 94% DCI-P3, for an announced contrast ratio of 1600:1 and a maximum brightness of 500 cd / m². Dell reports that while the screen is a touchscreen, it has an anti-reflective system to keep it as readable as possible in the sun. We will have to wait for the tests to verify it.
In addition, to perfect the design, they integrate the new active cooling system, with two fans placed geographically under the keyboard.
DELL XPS 17 Software
Inside the chassis, you will obviously find a 10th-generation Intel Core I processor. The XPS 17 is available in many configurations. It starts from the Core i5 and goes up to the Core i9 (model 10885H), up to 64 GB RAM (DDR4), and up to 2 TB of storage in SSD format. On the graphics card side, the XPS 17 will offer integrated Intel HD Graphics and dedicated Nvidia GeForce. And more precisely in the last case a GTX 1650 Ti or an RTX 2060. The battery integrated with the XPS 17 should offer a range of 19 hours according to the measurements made by the manufacturer.
DELL XPS 15 Software
And the Dell XPS 15 takes advantage of configurations quite close to those of the Dell XPS 17. From the Core i5 to the Core i7 in May, and the Core i9 in a second step. The most powerful processor will be the Core i9-10885H, as for the XPS 17. The XPS 15 also offers 8 to 64 GB RAM DDR4 and 156 GB to 2 TB of SSD storage. On the graphics card side, in addition to the integrated Intel HD Graphic, you have only one integrated option: the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max Q from Nvidia. The battery life measured by Dell on this product reaches 25 hours.

Note that like everything else in the XPS range, Dell provides a USB-C to USB-A adapter with each machine.
