Not one or two but three new smartphones have been presented by Xiaomi this Tuesday for its native China. The Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X Pro 5G arrive to grow their mid-high range family, with MediaTek and 5G hearts as main characteristics.
These are the manufacturer’s first smartphones to launch MIUI 12 and MediaTek’s new SoC Dimensity 820. This inexpensive chip offers more than comfortable performance and brings 5G to mid-range smartphones for an even more affordable price.
The new Redmi 10X Series is a surprise that arrives just a few months after the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, successors to the well-known series.
However, by dispensing with the last name “Note” they mark the arrival of a new family, with connectivity to the next-generation network as a differentiating aspect and main attraction.
This is the technical specifications of the new Redmi 10X series:

Same Design With Slight Differences
We can see that, although it has very marked differences on the inside. First, look, the three Redmi 10X smartphones are very similar. They can be confused by the less trained eyes.
The differentiating details, on the front, Redmi 10X 4G has a hole in the screen, and the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro are with notch drop. In addition, the older models have a somewhat smaller lower frame.
On the back, the differences are even more noticeable. All three models have the same square photo module design, but the Redmi 10X 4G integrates its fingerprint sensor just below four cameras. Meanwhile, the Redmi 10X 5G is left with just three photographic sensors, with the flash filling the remaining space. The Redmi 10X Pro has four cameras and the flash underneath.
What’s more, from the technical details, we also found some similarities, the main one in the diagonal that remains almost identical in the three models:
- 6.53 inches for the Redmi 10X 4G
- 6.57 inches for the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro
But they are all with Full HD + resolution.
The difference comes in the qualities of the panels, IPS LCD in the smaller model, and AMOLED in the older ones, which allows the integration of the fingerprint sensor.
HDR10 + certification is another unique aspect of 5G models. Of course, all three smartphones have Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Xiaomi Trusts MediaTek for the Whole Family
Moving to the power, Xiaomi trusts MediaTek to bring its new Redmi 10X line to life, with differences.
The Redmi 10X 4G has the MediaTek G85 chipset inside, the same as the Redmi Note 9, with eight cores up to 2.0 GHz and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
This piece is assisted by 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of storage, this time expandable up to 512 GB with microSD.

In Short
As we already mentioned, there are no details of its arrival in other markets. In some countries, it is unlikely that we will see them coming. Because they do not have 5G networks available to exploit the main feature of the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro.
The Redmi 10X 4G is also unlikely that we will see it from this side of the world if we consider that the Redmi Note 9S arrived in the country recently and that the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro will also arrive shortly.
